Pam Keller (Italy) sent these three great videos.

1. Italy missed the St Louis 1904 Games but the gallant struggle of marathon runner Dorando PIETRI at the London 1908 Olympic Games is still remembered. He led into the stadium but as he fell on the final lap he was helped by officials. Disqualification followed but he received a consolation cup from Queen Alexandra. A road near the site of the 1908 stadium bears his name to this day. You don't have to get the Gold to make a lasting impression on others.....

2. First featured in the London Games in 1948, Olympic Synchronised Swimming is a demanding water sport often referred to as water ballet.

Olympic Synchronised Swimming is a women only event, that requires pairs and teams of eight to perform a short routine to music. Synchronised Swimmers are awarded points by judges based on technical merit and artistry. Graceful yet technically difficult, Olympic Synchronised Swimmers display unbelievable feats of advanced water skill.

Arrangements made here in London is very excellent with good architecture.

3. Even though this is in Italian, it is really fun to see the signs, the way people dressed and the style of competition. London 1948 Olympic Games!
(Also, a great quote from the video - "The important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part. The essential thing in life is not conquering but fighting well." - True Olympic Spirit.

Thanks for the amazing videos !!! Bonus points for you - 15 pts great history and heritage all the way to modern.
