Update to the South Korea Archery story:

Im Dong Hyun, an Olympic archer from South Korea who is legally blind, broke his own world record, scoring 699 out of 720 in the first round of competition.

Great!

Tina Torres (South Korea) sent this article on the South Korean Archery team and their history of Gold.

South Korea – South Korea has absolutely dominated Olympic archery since the sport made its debut in 1988. They’ve won gold in the last three Olympic men’s team events and have won every gold medal possible for women’s team archery events. This year, they’ve already set two world records and will likely continue to kick some serious ass. On the men’s side, pay close attention to Im Dong-Hyun, who is legally blind!

I love the last fact in this article!!! Thanks, Tina!

CHALLENGE OF THE WEEK: 20 pts

This week the challenge is to take a photo of the olympic rings in real life. Whether it be 5 bowls of ice cream or bracelets connected in the shape of the rings, find a creative way to make your own Olympic rings out of an everyday item.

Have fun and send all photos to erinbcress@gmail.com to have them posted by Sunday August 5th!
